Sasuke vs. Itachi arc/recent Naruto chapters  
So... after thinking about this for awhile I thought it's time to finally write an entry about my favourite arc of the Naruto series.

And omg... after watching this fanmade... and so beautiful/sad video... I just had to write about it finally...
And I seriously love Kishimoto for this fight, the Uchiha flashbacks, the love between those two brothers, my heartache,... simply everything...





At first... when Itachi died... I couldn't cry at all. I was really, really sad but I couldn't cry. Normally I can cry easily but... I was kinda disappointed by the fact that we didn't find out much about Itachi at first. He died and that was it.



My friend told me during this time that we would find out more about him later but I didn't really listen to her then even though I actually thought the same...

Then Madara/Tobi came...



I have to apologize to Kishimoto for thinking the end of Itachi does not have enough drama... in the end it was the opposite and I couldn't stop crying after chapter 402, when we got yet another Uchiha flashback... when we found out what Itachi said right before his death, when we saw Sasuke cry FINALLY...



Chapter 400/401 were enough already, chapter 402 and 403 hurt more than any other of the chapters before... The flashback with Itachi crying... that also hurt so much...

And... he had a reason for what he did to the clan in the end. It wasn't really his fault...

In the end... everything was how I wanted it to be...



Itachi was the reason why I started watching Naruto again and from the very start (I started with the manga chapters of the Sasuke vs. Naruto fight and the Uchiha flashbacks during this fight - that was when Itachi appeared in the anime for the first time) I thought Itachi actually is a good guy.
I can't really say how much I really love Kishimoto for what he did with Itachi...
I can only say that he made me happy and sad at the same time.

Vollkommen egal im Endeffekt ob es so spät passierte.......es freut mich.

Das Video hat wahnsinnig reingeschlagen und du hast recht , in meinen Augen ...war das Ende von den Zwein, wenn auch Traurig aber gelungen.
ES WAR immer das was wir uns erspielten.
Auch wenn der Beigeschmack etwas herb war ......

The pictures you included are beautiful. I too love what Kishimoto-sensei did by making Itachi's intentions pure, if not exactly his actions. His love of his brother is so deep and complex and his own version of loyalty to the village... I love how Kishimoto-sensei always turns our ideas on their head. LOL

Only problem is YouTube seems to be going through this fit of deleting things again and I cannot view the video. >.<;; stupid YouTube.. Do you possibly have another link?

And yes... I can only agree with your words ;_; I so love the relationship between those two brothers.
It's so emotional, complex and deep....

Mm, I hope the anime does a good job with the scenes between them. If they hire the "bad animators" and make them look less than perfect during the fight and flashbacks, I will be most displeased. The relationship between Sasuke and Itachi deserves better.

My first Naruto ep was when Kakashi was fighting Itachi on the river and Itachi kicked his ass. I fell in love with them both and I never fell out of love with them! I knew Itachi was a good guy...crazy demented and tormented...but good. I really love the seiyuu too for Itachi. I wish we could have gotten a gaiden for Itachi when he was growing up like we did with Kakashi.

I also think I agree with everything you said. At first I was angry because I even though I don't really follow the series anymore, Itachi and Sasuke have been my only reason really for following it in the first place. I liked the dynamics that they had as a brother who betrayed the other. I liked Itachi as an evil guy ;_; I didn't like that Kishimoto made him into this shoujo hero. But- but- in the end Itachi tried to be the best big brother that he could and just. I can't hate that that's what he is. Especially because I love those kinds of characters.

I- I wish this entire story was about Itachi and Sasuke. I was never much interested in everyone else, but I guess if it was, it wouldn't have the same...uh, well, it wouldn't draw me in as much I guess. ;_;
